                       Here is my first Fall Camellia bloom.  It`s Autumn Carnival,  I love this one !

So I bought this plant from what was Roslyn Nursery, probably close to 10 years ago as Ville De Nantes.    It was just a stick in a pot when I got it, and this is the first time it has bloomed for me.  But It doesn`t look like what I know Ville De Nantes to look like. But it has the most Amazing candy apple red flowers.  It is a really great red.  So I am happy with it, no matter what it is

  It is now April 19, and my camellias are not open yet.  I just can`t believe it !     I think this is the latest I have ever seen.  They look like they want to open, but they just aren`t doing it.   It is usually full bloom by mid April..........So Strange.   It has been cooler than normal for most of spring so far.  But not extremely so.                       I see other spring blooming plants that usually bloom at this time, proceeding to do so. Not sure what`s going on

Autumn Carnival / George Adams

   I got this one this fall from Camforest.   Variegated Fall bloomers are rare.  It is also hardy to zone 6 which is an added bonus, since it can be planted in more exposed locations here on LI, and remain completely hardy.

        The plant is very small now, but I look forward to it becoming a big beautiful plant in the future
